All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines important terms, conditions, insurance information, applicable charges, and your responsibilities for the rental period. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Requirements for Vehicle Rental

You need to possess a valid full driving licence suitable for the vehicle category, held for the duration outlined in the Rental Agreement. 3. Reservations and Payments
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Wilmslow office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. Full payment and a security deposit are usually required upon vehicle pick-up. Prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.
4. Car Collection and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection in Wilmslow, it is important to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be generated and signed by both parties. The vehicle should be returned in the same condition as it was collected, accounting for standard wear and tear. You are responsible for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless covered by supplementary insurance. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse falls under your responsibility, regardless of insurance.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show up may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities, including racing, rallying, or off-roading. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purpose, adhering to passenger and weight limits. Operating the vehicle outside designated geographical boundaries without prior approval is also prohibited.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Wilmslow is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims is limited to the rental amount you paid in the prior 12 months. This limitation does not apply to cases of death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
9. Local Legal Framework
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
10. Terms Updates
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon being posted on our website. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
